Roles and Responsibilities

Manitoba Public Insurance

Provide funding for the Manitoba COPP Program
Coordinate COPP groups under a provincial network including training and equipment resources
Work with COPP stakeholders to achieve a viable and sustainable province wide COPP network
Serve as an active member on the Manitoba COPP Advisory Board

Law Enforcement Agencies

Provide recommendations and approvals of new COPP groups
Conduct security checks for COPP group members
Provide a liaison officer to support the group by in attending meetings, discussing and sharing ideas and being a primary contact for any questions or concerns
Encourage and support detachment/community level participation
Assist with training, as required
Be an active member in the development of the Manitoba COPP program
Serve as an active member on the Manitoba COPP Advisory Board
