Registration for the 2010 COPP Conference, September 17 - 19 is closed.
Agenda
I’ll have a formal agenda prepared for the conference, but here’s an overview of what it’s all about…
It’s questionable!Join us Friday evening anytime after 6:30 p.m. in the banquet room at the Hilton Suites Winnipeg Airport Hotel. At 7:30, Quiz Night starts. If you’ve been to one, you’ll know it’s a lot of fun and also a good fundraising opportunity. The money we raise will go to a great charity, so be sure to bring your money…and your thinking cap! We’ll also have some good eats and drinks to help keep you going. www.quizmasters.ca
It’s all new! Saturday we’ll start with breakfast (8 – 9 a.m.), followed by an overview of what’s happened over the past year, especially the introduction of our new COPP logo, which led to the development of a new and improved training manual and purchase of new equipment, not to mention a new COPP web site, which we’ll officially launch that day. We’ll also talk about a new partnership we’ve formed with Manitoba Housing, as well as a new policy for youth participation. And be sure to bring your money, because there will be some nice new COPP clothing for sale!
It’s educational! After lunch the break-out sessions will take place from 1:30 – 4 p.m. (You can select two choices from the four listed on the form). There will be a bit of time after that to get ready for the evening reception and banquet and get your group photo taken (if you wish).
It’s all about you! The reception starts at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 6:30. Between delicious dinner courses, we’ll award some wonderful people and shower everyone in some well-deserved volunteer recognition.
It’s tricky? Magician Evan Morgan is going to entertain us after dinner. He says he's got a great way to make our money disappear...for charity, of course!
It’s election time! On Sunday morning, we hope that as voting members of COPP, you’ll be able to join us for breakfast and take part in a brief Annual General Meeting to elect some new members to our Provincial Advisory Committee.
It’s done!
Bet you can hardly wait!
